Design process, accelerated by AI

My process follows the classic Double Diamond: Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver. Over the years I've refined it with AI woven into each phase, using it to move faster on research, prototyping, and hand-off without cutting corners on craft.

  1. 01Discover

    I start by understanding user needs and business goals through brainstorming sessions, stakeholder conversations, and user interviews. I feed these inputs, meeting notes, and interview transcripts into a dedicated Claude project, then use it to surface patterns and frame the problem. This sets the scope and lays the foundation for everything that follows.

  2. 02Define

    With that foundation set, I sharpen the raw inputs into a clear problem statement. I use Claude to consolidate scattered notes and call transcripts, and to pull in industry best practices, turning everything into focused framing the team can rally around before any design work begins.

  3. 03Develop

    With the problem framed, I move ideas into form quickly. Tools like Lovable and v0 let me prototype concepts and build POCs in a fraction of the usual time, giving PMs a concrete starting point during requirement discussions instead of abstract wireframes, and freeing up time to focus on the actual design decisions.

  4. 04Deliver

    I focus on getting designs into production cleanly. I use Claude Code with Figma to host prototypes and share them with PMs and stakeholders, and to generate interactions and animations as React components that front-end developers can build from directly.

    • As one of the first in-house design hires, helped shape Opus, an AI-native enterprise automation platform, from early product into its 1.0 launch.
    • Designed core workflow experiences that turn plain-language intent into supervised, auditable automation for regulated industries like banking, insurance, and healthcare.
    • Gained deep experience in Enterprise AI SaaS and its UX, making complex, agentic workflows legible and trustworthy for enterprise operators while holding a high bar on accessibility and information density.
    • Co-created the Opus design system (1.0 and 2.0) and used AI-driven prototyping tools to shorten concept-to-prototype cycles.
  • Lead Product Designer · WealthyAbu DhabiApr 2022 – Aug 2025
    • Scaled Wealthy's Adviser platform in-house, building the foundation (design system, components, and product experience) that had previously been run by an external agency.
    • Bridged core functionality across web and mobile, including a full revamp of the Revenue Sheet, to give advisers one consistent experience across platforms.
    • Led user research initiatives, using interviews and customer metrics to identify pain points and improve the UX of key adviser workflows.
    • Defined the design language for the Wealthy Partner vertical, collaborating with illustrators and motion designers on a cohesive visual and interaction style.
  • Senior Product Designer · FreechargeBangaloreOct 2018 – Mar 2022
    • Designed across both sides of Freecharge (an Axis Bank company): the consumer payments app (B2C) and the Freecharge Business merchant app (B2B), spanning Android and iOS.
    • On the consumer app, designed the UPI payments flow and unified mobile recharge, electricity and DTH bill payments into a single, consistent utility-payments structure.
    • Created the end-to-end UX for a Virtual Credit Card product powered by Axis Bank.
    • Built the Freecharge Business app from the ground up (0→1), designing full end-to-end features for a platform now used by 300,000+ merchants to accept payments and digitise their transactions.
    • Defined the product's design language with the creative team, covering illustration and motion across both platforms.
  • UI Designer · SmartronBangaloreMar 2017 – Sep 2018
    • Designed both the on-device UI for wearables and the companion apps for IoT hardware.
    • Designed the Android app experiences for Smartron's connected-device ecosystem (t.band, t.home and t.cloud), spanning smartwatches and smart-home hardware.
    • Produced product illustrations and defined the iconography across the app suite, establishing a consistent visual identity for the ecosystem.
